Snow is melting earlier than usual this year around Mt. Yari. However, snow-covered sections still remain on parts of the route. Please use caution when passing through these areas.

■ Yarizawa Route
Most of the snowfields along the Yarisawa Route have melted, with only a few short sections remaining.

The longest remaining snowfield is approximately 50 meters long. Experienced hikers should be able to negotiate these sections with microspikes and trekking poles.
Please note that snow can become firm and slippery in the early morning, so take extra care when crossing.
■ Hidasawa Route
There are still steep snow-covered sections along the Hidasawa Route.
While the ascent may not present significant difficulties, snow conditions can change throughout the day. During descent, softened snow or hard frozen surfaces in the early morning can increase the risk of slipping.
For safety, we strongly recommend carrying 12-point crampons.

■ Higashikama Ridge and Nishikama Ridge
As the mountain huts along these routes have not yet opened for the season, we currently do not have sufficient information regarding conditions on the Higashikama Ridge and Nishikama Ridge. However, it is expected that a significant amount of snow remains on the slopes.
Once mountain hut staff have entered the area, assessed trail conditions, and completed any necessary maintenance work, updates will be posted on the respective mountain huts’ blogs and websites.
Until updated information becomes available, we ask all hikers to avoid these routes.
Please note that trail and snow conditions can change daily depending on weather and temperature.
Before your trip, be sure to check the latest information and carry appropriate equipment for safe mountain travel.
